Hiking to Mengore
Mengore is easily accesible hill, south-west of Tolmin.
It takes about 45 minutes to reach destination with start at Pelance. The wide footpath is on some parts steep, but mostly there are gently slopes. From Mengore you can enjoy magnificent scenery of the Tolmin valley, nicely seen the glecier U- shaped valley and the Julian Alps in the background. You can also learn about the First World War and the Great Tolmin Uprising in the 18th century.
